Our initial trip to Bindoon Windmill Farm was night’s stay after visiting New Norcia before returning to Perth the following day. Though the stay was brief, I must admit that we had peaceful and memorable time at the farm that we decided to return within weeks. Yes, Joan, Milton and Archer were the best hosts anyone would ask for.

Getting there: Use Tokin Hwy heading north and exit the highway at the roundabout to Great Northern Hwy. Travel along Great Northern Hwy through Chittering and Bindoon townsite for 20mins and right turn into Kay Road. Bindoon Windmill Farm is located at 132 Kay Road, Bindoon.

What to expect at Bindoon Windmill Farm – Peace.. Serenity.. Connection with nature. Being in touch with the outside world was not an issue – there was mobile coverage.

We booked a bedroom unit with two single beds and one Queensize bed. The unit comes with a small working table with clothing hanger and an ensuite bathroom/toilet. Neither watching television nor dipping into a pool or jacuzzi was an issue. We were there for the peace and relaxation. There is a communal lounge with coffee and tea making facilities. Yes, each cottage has a communal fridge and BBQ facility.
